Reflex Express helps Huxloe Logistics deliver rounded service solution

As a warehouse provider with customers up and down the country Huxloe Logistics has built a reputation second to none.
With 120,000 sq ft of warehouse space, situated on four acres of land off the A14 at Kettering in Northamptonshire and Hayes in Middlessex, Huxloe customers benefit from a range of warehouse services including container de-stuffing, sorting, palletising, shrink wrapping, labelling and pick and pack.
The company also offers a delivery service tailored specifically to the needs of its customers including full loads, groupage and parcel deliveries from and to anywhere in the world. Also, due to Huxloe’s latest technology in remote data entry, any client or partner company can have access to its parcel service and send any volumes from its own premises. This has become a very successful tool and allows overseas clients and partners to send the parcels already labelled, with Huxloe conducting a simple and efficient cross-docking.
According to the nature of the customers’ requirements the deliveries are handled by one of several partner companies – one of which is Reflex Express.
Established in 1969 Reflex Express is the Spain’s premium express delivery company. With a workforce of almost 5,000 operating out of a network of 64 depots across the country it handles more than 76 million parcels annually, equating to 350,000 daily.
At one time Huxloe Logistics specialised purely in storage and distribution for palletised deliveries. With the boom in online shopping Huxloe found more demand from customers for parcel delivery. And so Reflex Express was brought on board.
Alfonso Cortes, Co-owner / Joint Managing Director of Huxloe Logistics, said: “Initially when Reflex Express came on board they were dealing with one account for us. These days they are dealing with 50 – and delivering around 120,000 parcels every year. And we expect the partnership to continue to grow in this way."
“One of the key selling points for Reflex Express in my view is its flexibility. They know what I need and when I need it. They may not be the cheapest but they are extremely competitive and the best in terms of value for money. Sometimes I will make a special request to them and they will price it up for me. In some circumstances they may come back with higher prices for extra, specialist services. At the same time, they know I would rather pay more money if it means I am getting the best service."
Alfonso also highlighted the benefits of ‘My Reflex Express’ - an online service giving real-time information on the whereabouts of every parcel within the Reflex Express network.
He said: “Perhaps best described as an X-ray of the Reflex Express system all my team has to do is type in a consignment number and we can see the exact whereabouts of the relevant parcel on a satellite map."
“Due to the nature of my business and the variety of the services we offer we deal with several leading carriers and we often liaise with the directors of those companies. In my view Reflex Express’s IT system is several steps ahead of those within other carriers."
“It is first class, benefiting not only my company but also my customers, who can view the Reflex Express network for themselves. Not only does it protect us and our customers but it also protects Reflex Express employees as it can account for their whereabouts at any time, when it may be called into question.”
He added: “It has only been a year but we are delighted with the service from Reflex Express. I am thankful there are rarely any problems, but if there are any that arise ‘My Reflex Express’ gives my team the answers they need. This first year has been great for my business and that of my customers. I look forward to building on this with more work for Reflex Express in the future.”
Tim Brown, Sales and Marketing Director of Reflex Express, said: “We are delighted to be working with Huxloe Logistics in a partnership where we feel we can provide real added value – not only to Huxloe itself, but to its many customers.“
Just in the past year or so the relationship between ourselves and Huxloe has gone from strength to strength and we have laid the foundations for a fantastic professional relationship. That relationship has grown so much in a relatively short space of time and we look forward to enjoying continued growth on a similar scale in the future.
